If you are a creative artist: actor, writer, director, editor, filmmaker, singer, musician, dancer, painter, or other, chances are you are too busy creating your art and honing your craft to worry about business. Unfortunately those days are fading fast. You need to know how to reach your fans directly. Its a new world. You can't wait around for the gate keepers to give you permission or access to a world you already inhabit. You can no longer wait for them to confirm that you are an artist...because you are.
I've walked in both worlds and I bring that world to you.
You're already an artist
and there are people out there who are your fans, they just don't know it yet.
You need to go to your fans directly. Build a community they can take part in. Build a brand they want to connect with.
Entrepreneurs do this and have been doing this as long as commerce has existed, but the world of entrepreneurship is vast and can be difficult traversing, with an overload of information if you don't know where to look.
This is where I come in. I can be your bridge.
I can introduce you to this fascinating and invigorating world. Together we can find the people, the methods, the ttr (tips, tools & resources) that you will need to build your own fan base and provide your art directly to them.
As I stated up above, I've walked in both worlds...I have been an actor/writer all my life, have my own theatre company on the side and have worked in the entertainment business for 20+ years in many capacities.
Joining the entrepreneur world has been one of the greatest adventures of my life and I'm ready to share it with you.

Here is what I have to offer:
THE ARTIST/ENTREPRENEUR BRAINSTORM
This includes:
- a welcome e-mail which outlines exercises you will do before our session, allowing me insight to your art, your world, you.
- a 90 minute phone or skype audio consultation to go over your exercises, brainstorm, discuss possibilities and come up with actionable goals for you
- 1 - 15 minute follow up session (about a month later) at a time we agree on to discuss your progress.
In the consultation:
- We talk about what you love about your craft and what you most want to provide for fans -- your mission, your movement
- What is an artist/entrepreneur and how do I become one
- The basics of community/brand building, what makes you unique and why people will want to find you
- We talk about how monetization works
- Together we devise your own personal money tree, so you can visualize ways to make money from your art now and how that plan might grow in the future
You will leave with:
- 2 or 3 possible monetization ideas for your art and a plan for getting it all going
- Ideas that support your mission/movement that you can start to build upon
- a recording of our phone call (if you request this in advance and we pre-arrange)
- access to me through e-mail for follow up questions (answered as my schedule allows)
- A follow up phone call about a month after our session to answer any questions and check on progress
- Permanent placement on my idea radar: if you've worked with me I will always keep you in mind when scouring the universe for resources, tips, tools and ideas. If I come across something that suits you and your business idea I will send it to you or contact you about it
- The possibility of being featured on one of my 4 entrepreneurial series: have an egg breaking or lemonade making moment, you can share it with readers on Escape Hatcher's YouTube Channel, are you building your business around your expertise - be featured on Escape Hatcher's "Know-it-Alls" page. Have a particularly inspiring story? Be interviewed for my Escape PODcast. Want to share your start up story? Guest blog on the Escape Hatch blog or be featured in The Escape Hatch Newsletter. I always offer former clients the opportunity of my help in promoting their new ventures. This in and of itself is a huge value.
